Soft Launch Summer

Summer’s (finally) heating up — but around here, we’re working to slow things down. The constant busyness of life can pull us out of our bodies, our rhythms, and our pleasure. It disconnects us from the deeper, quieter parts of ourselves that are waiting for us to return.

In this month’s conversation, we’re exploring what it means to come back to that space — through the lens of masculine and feminine energy, sexual presence, and the go-to rituals that help us feel more at home in our skin.

This Month’s Buzz

This Week’s Wisdom

Masculine vs. Feminine Energy: What We Miss When We Dismiss It

So this past week I’ve done a bit of a deep dive into the different duel energies. Before we jump in, I have to note that the terms do feel outdated. They can sound like the kind of binary thinking we’re trying to move away from: strong vs. soft, doing vs. feeling, thinking vs. being. But for lack of better terms, let’s dive into it.

The concept itself came up a few days ago when I told my therapist how much I want to come back into my feminine energy. She asked me what I meant by that and I couldn’t put it fully into words. After a quick google search, here’s what I came across:

Masculine energy: goal-oriented, logical, analytical, and controlling/directive.

Feminine energy: receptive/allowing, soft, magnetic, sensual, flowing, and embodied.

When I read that, I felt it. I saw myself reflected in the masculine column—not because of identity or gender, but because of how I’ve been functioning lately. I’ve been moving from one goal to the next, organizing, analyzing, planning, fixing. Directing my life rather than allowing it. And while that energy has helped me tackle my to do lists, it’s also left me feeling… disconnected.

Life has been moving fast for all of us and I know I can’t be the only one experiencing this. And I’m realizing I don’t want to just keep up.

Here are a few things I’m trying so that I can rest more in my feminine energy:

  • Spending less time on social media and more time in a new book (currently reading Amy Giffin’s “The Tell”.)

  • Drinking more hot water with lemon — not just coffee

  • Letting rest feel as valid as output

  • Listening to podcasts that inspire me (yes…I’m late to the game here)! Here are a few I’ve been loving:  1. Elizabeth Andres of The Wellness Process , 2. Steven Bartlett, host of The Diary of a CEO, 3. Maggie Sellers, creator of Hot Smart Rich.

The Naked Truth

There’s a difference between sexual confidence and sexual performance. One requires self-trust. The other requires an audience.

We talk a lot about feeling empowered during sex—but sometimes that empowerment is performative. It’s easy to confuse being “in control” with being in tune. Masculine energy thrives on direction, results, and getting somewhere fast. Feminine energy asks us to feel more deeply, to receive without rushing, to let go of the need to look like we’re doing it right.

This week, we’ve been talking about reconnecting to that softer, more embodied state—where pleasure comes from presence, not pressure.

So as you explore pleasure—alone or with a partner—notice where your habits come from. Are you doing it because it feels good, or because it looks good? Are you chasing a peak, or savoring the in-between?

The Must-Have Product

After your next shower, light your massage oil candle and let the scent fill the room. As the wax melts, take a moment to pause with three full belly breaths. Pour a little into your palm and massage it into your skin—no rush, just intention. The Gua Sha stone is a great add-on to ease tension in your shoulders, chest, or thighs. We’re sharing a sneak peek from the deck just for you, our newsletter readers. This week’s card is from the Learn category: Women who regularly masturbate can typically achieve more than one orgasm per session, and are more likely to orgasm with a partner.
